Hardware & Motion Control
Explore the research and interactive demonstrations behind Motion Intelligence.
What does the 20 mm travel specification mean?
The nominal 20 mm describes the linear travel of the upper part of the internal sleeve mechanism. It does not mean the entire silicone sleeve moves back and forth by 20 mm as one rigid piece. The compact, lightweight design combines this movement with flexible silicone to create a broader sensation of motion; that sensation does not increase the actual mechanical travel.
Does F1 have suction, rotation or compression motors?
F1 has two motor functions: linear reciprocating motion and vibration. Its enclosed silicone chamber can create a suction-like sensation through its physical structure; this is not a separately driven suction mechanism. F1 does not have a rotation or twisting motor.
Can I stop motion while staying connected?
Yes. The physical control lever has the highest control priority and can stop or pause device motion independently of the connected software. You can keep the connection active while stopping the motors.
Video Sync & Funscript
Can I use videos stored on my computer?
Yes. You can open a compatible local video in the Pulsar web player. Browser-based playback does not mean the video must come from a streaming website. File and codec playback depend on your browser and device; check your intended setup before buying.
How does F1 interpret standard .funscript files?
Standard .funscript files are supported, but F1 does not strictly track each scripted position. The system analyzes how script positions change over time to calculate speed and duration, then dynamically generates a sequence the device can execute. It primarily follows rhythm and timing rather than reaching every specified position at every instant. It does not select from a fixed library of preset motions.
Conversion includes smoothing, merging movements and limiting speed, so the resulting motion can differ from the original script. Script interpretation and motion planning run in the server-side motion engine and can evolve through software updates.
For media processing, uploaded scripts and retained data, see Privacy & Data.
Connectivity & Compatibility
Do I need a mobile app or internet connection?
The connected experience uses a web app over Wi-Fi. A dedicated Pulsar mobile app is not required to access the browser interface. Connected functions use online services; browser access does not establish that those features work offline or during a service outage.
Will my browser, VR headset or third-party player work?
Accessing the web interface, playing a video and integrating a third-party player are different capabilities. Do not assume support for every browser, operating system, codec, headset or streaming service. Direct VLC, PLAY’A or SexLikeReal integration, including a particular Quest setup, should not be assumed from browser access alone.
Before buying for a specific setup, email support@pulsarfuture.com with your device, operating system, browser version, video format and intended player or service so we can check that combination.
AI Characters & Included Features
Do AI Companion and Video Sync require a subscription?
No ongoing subscription is required for the core AI Companion and Video Sync included with F1. Planned expansions to official AI Characters, motion videos, scenes, outfits and other official content or feature updates will also not require a subscription. This describes the charging model, not a promise that every planned addition is available now or by a particular date.
Could optional advanced customization cost extra?
Future optional tools for generating private AI scenes or motion videos may use a subscription or usage-based fees because of inference and generation costs. The pricing model has not been decided. Any such fees would not apply to the core AI Companion and Video Sync included with your F1.

Privacy & Data
Does Video Sync keep a history of what I watch?
Pulsar does not maintain a Video Sync viewing history containing video filenames, titles, URLs, websites or content categories. Processing data to synchronize a session is separate from keeping a viewing history.
Are my local videos uploaded, and what leaves my device?
Your local video and audio stay on your device and are processed in your browser. Pulsar does not upload or collect the media, frames, thumbnails, filenames or file paths, and does not use your local videos to train server-side AI models. Third-party SDKs are not used to upload or remotely analyze your local video content.
Selected derived signals needed for synchronization, such as timeline, motion and contextual signals, are sent to the server-side motion engine. These signals and the automatically generated motor-control commands are deleted after the session ends. This describes the local-video workflow; it does not establish the same data flow for online videos, VR or live video calls.
Are Funscript files uploaded or stored?
Yes. Uploaded Funscript files are sent to Pulsar’s servers for interpretation and motion planning, then deleted after the session ends. They are not kept as an account-history library or stored for future reuse. Server-side script planning is a separate path from local-video analysis in your browser. See how F1 interprets Funscript for the motion behavior.
Are any control instructions retained?
Automatically generated session motor-control commands are deleted after the session ends. Control instructions actively entered by the user are a different category and are currently stored persistently. Session-end deletion does not mean data is never transmitted or stored during processing, and the absence of viewing or script history does not establish that data cannot be associated with a device or session.
How are AI voice, conversations and preferences handled?
Pulsar does not retain voice inputs or conversation transcripts as persistent conversation history or use them to build a long-term personal conversation profile. Whisper runs on Pulsar’s own hosted infrastructure; using Whisper does not mean your voice is sent to OpenAI.
Qwen is accessed through OpenRouter, and the relevant inputs are sent to the external service to process the interaction. OpenRouter is the access point; external-service retention and data-handling practices are separate from Pulsar’s. No zero-retention promise is made for external processing.
Structured motion preferences can be saved and associated with your account or AI Character for Adaptive Learning. These saved preferences are distinct from a stored transcript of your private conversations.
How long are saved instructions and preferences retained?
Pulsar’s default retention period is two years for control instructions actively entered by the user and for Adaptive Learning preference data. This period does not describe all system logs or backups, voice or transcripts, or external AI-service retention. Session-derived signals, automatically generated motor commands and uploaded Funscript files follow the session-end deletion described above.
Can I delete preferences or disable Adaptive Learning?
Preference-deletion controls and an option to disable Adaptive Learning are both planned. They are not currently available app controls, and no specific release date is confirmed. Disabling Adaptive Learning is separate from the session processing needed for synchronization.
