Website Privacy & Cookie Policy
Your privacy matters. This policy explains what information we use when you visit getpulsar.io, why we use it, and the choices available to you. Optional analytics and advertising tools are a separate choice from confirming your age.
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Hong Kong Pulsar Technology Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong and operating the Pulsar brand, is responsible for the website information described here.
Business Registration Number (BRN): 79650971.
Business registration address: FLAT 2401-16, 24/F, WING SHING IND BUILDING, 26 NG FONG STREET, SAN PO KONG, HONG KONG.
Privacy enquiries: support@pulsarfuture.com.
This policy covers getpulsar.io and campaign pages operated by us under the getpulsar.io domain, including information submitted through those pages and information processed by technical service providers on our behalf. Product, device, app, account and AI-service data may be covered by separate privacy notices presented with those services. For more information, consult the product and service privacy policy or the policy shown by the relevant service. Following a purchase or other external link may take you to a website with its own practices.
2. Information we use and why
- Operating and protecting the website. Requests to our website and technical providers include network and browser information. Server logs can contain IP addresses, requested URLs or paths, timestamps, response status and browser user-agent information. This supports page delivery, troubleshooting and security.
- Remembering your choices. We store your age confirmation and cookie preferences in your browser. The age gate records an adult/under-18 choice, not your date of birth or identity documents. We do not send the age choice as an analytics or advertising event.
- Optional website analytics. With your permission, we use page views, clicks, scrolling, video interactions, referral and campaign information, approximate location and browser/device information to understand and improve website use. Random identifiers can connect visits or actions; this information is not necessarily anonymous. Microsoft Clarity also provides heatmaps and session recordings of website interactions.
- Optional advertising measurement. With your permission, Meta Pixel sends visits and interactions, such as page views, product views and button clicks, to Meta to measure advertising results. Advertising-related consent signals are also passed to Google tools when they are loaded. Providers may connect this information with other information they hold, including for advertising, subject to their settings and policies.
- Early Access responses and launch emails. If you answer our optional purchase-intent or price questions, we store your selected answers, the price shown and limited campaign attribution so we can plan the launch. If you also submit an email address, we use it to confirm your Early Access signup and send Pulsar F1 launch and offer information. You can skip the price follow-up, use the survey without submitting an email, and ask us to stop these emails at any time.
- VIP reservations and payments. If you reserve VIP launch access, we use your email address, reservation identifier, payment status and related campaign attribution to administer the reservation, confirm payment, send the private Kickstarter reward link when available, prevent duplicate use and handle refunds. Stripe processes your card details; we do not store full payment-card numbers.
- Responding to you. If you email us, we use your contact information and message to handle your enquiry or privacy request. Providing these details is voluntary, but we may need sufficient information to respond. Please do not send unnecessary sensitive information.
We request your consent before initially loading optional analytics or advertising tools. Essential website delivery and handling a request you send us are separate from that consent. Where applicable law requires a particular processing basis or additional permission, those requirements continue to apply.
3. Cookies, browser storage and your choices
You can reject optional categories, accept them, or choose separately through Cookie Preferences in the website footer. Confirming your age does not grant cookie consent, and rejecting optional cookies does not prevent you from using the website.
- Essential: age confirmation and privacy choices.
- Website analytics — optional: Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, our own website statistics and Google Tag Manager used to manage website tags.
- Advertising measurement — optional: Meta Pixel and advertising-related consent settings for loaded Google tools.
These technologies may use cookies such as Google Analytics _ga and _ga_*, Clarity _clck and _clsk, and Meta _fbp or _fbc, alongside browser storage and provider-domain cookies. Which cookies appear depends on your choices, browser restrictions, referral information and provider behavior.
To change your choice, return to the website footer and open Cookie Preferences. Withdrawal stops the corresponding events sent by our application and sends updated consent signals to the tools already loaded. It does not recall information already sent, automatically delete provider records, or guarantee that an already-loaded tool makes no further technical or cookieless requests. Reloading after withdrawal prevents our application from loading the declined tools again on the next page load.
You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser. This may reset your age confirmation and privacy choices. Preferences apply to the browser in which you set them; other browsers or devices may need a separate choice. This policy page itself does not load analytics or advertising scripts and can be read without age confirmation or cookie acceptance.
4. Providers and other disclosures
Depending on your choices, information is received by Google (Analytics and Tag Manager), Microsoft (Clarity) and Meta (Pixel). Clarity captures interaction and page information for heatmaps and session replay; Microsoft also describes its own processing in its privacy statement. Meta and Google may associate website activity with their identifiers or other information they hold. Provider processing is not necessarily limited to acting only on our instructions.
The main website also requests fonts from Google Fonts while preparing its pages, which may happen behind the age confirmation screen. Font requests disclose network information to Google independently of your optional analytics choice. Hosting, infrastructure and email providers process information needed to deliver the website and handle correspondence.
Stripe processes VIP reservation payments and related fraud-prevention information under its applicable terms and privacy notice. We receive payment status and transaction references, rather than full card details. Read more in the Stripe Privacy Policy.
Read more in the Google Privacy Policy, Microsoft Privacy Statement and Meta Privacy Policy.
We may disclose relevant information when required by law or when necessary to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims. Advertising disclosures can be treated as “sharing,” “sale” or targeted advertising under some privacy laws, even without a monetary payment. You can decline the advertising category and contact us to exercise any applicable opt-out rights.
5. How long information is kept
- Early Access: survey answers and launch-email records are kept while we plan and run the Pulsar F1 launch, or until they are no longer needed for that purpose. You can ask us to remove your email or stop Early Access messages at any time.
- VIP reservations: reservation, payment and refund records are kept for campaign administration, fulfillment, fraud prevention, dispute handling and applicable accounting or legal requirements.
- Our website analytics database: configured to remove event records older than 13 months through a daily cleanup task. This schedule does not apply to backups or provider-held data.
- Google Analytics: our user-level and event-level retention setting is 2 months. Standard aggregated reports are outside this limit. Google settings, including renewal of user-identifier retention on new activity where enabled, can affect the actual period. See Google’s retention explanation.
- Clarity: Microsoft’s published schedule specifies 30 days for playback data and 9 months for labeled or favorited sessions and click/heatmap data. See Clarity’s retention schedule.
- Meta and other provider records: retained under the applicable provider’s policies and purposes; they do not use our 13-month database schedule. Cookie expiry is not the same as deletion of provider-held records.
- Age confirmation:
pulsar_age_decision_v1is stored for the browser tab session. Browser restoration or tab duplication may preserve it. - Privacy choices and persistent analytics storage:
pulsar_analytics_consent_v1,pulsar_anonymous_id_v1,pulsar_first_touch_v1andpulsar_last_touch_v1currently have no fixed automatic expiry. They can remain until removed or replaced. Withdrawing analytics consent removes our analytics identifier and attribution records from that browser; the privacy-choice record remains to remember your decision. - Session analytics storage:
pulsar_session_v1andpulsar_session_touch_v1are session-scoped. A new analytics session identifier is created after 30 minutes of inactivity; this does not mean all session records are deleted after 30 minutes. - Server logs, backups and correspondence: there is currently no single fixed automatic deletion schedule covering these records. Retention needs depend on troubleshooting and security, recovery, handling your enquiry, and applicable legal obligations or disputes. Contact us for a retention enquiry or deletion request relating to your information.
6. International processing and security
We are based in Hong Kong and use international technology providers. Information may be processed outside your country, including in Hong Kong, the United States and other locations where providers operate. Data-protection rules can differ between locations. The provider policies linked above describe their international processing and safeguards; this policy does not mean all website information is stored in Hong Kong.
The website uses HTTPS for transport security. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. If you suspect a privacy or security issue, contact us and avoid sending passwords, payment-card details or identity documents in your initial email.
7. Your rights, requests and complaints
Depending on the laws that apply to you and our business, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, withdraw consent, object to or restrict certain processing, or opt out of certain advertising disclosures. These rights can be subject to conditions and exceptions.
Email support@pulsarfuture.com with your request and enough information to identify the matter. We may request proportionate information to verify your authority and locate relevant records. A random website identifier may not be connected to an email address. Do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are needed.
For a complaint, describe your concern and the outcome you are seeking. We will review it, seek clarification where needed and respond in accordance with applicable law. If you disagree with our response, you can ask us to review it and, where available, contact your local privacy regulator. Examples include the Hong Kong Privacy Commissioner, Australian Information Commissioner, New Zealand Privacy Commissioner and Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Other national, state or provincial authorities may be relevant to you.
8. Children and changes to this policy
This website is intended for adults aged 18 and older. The age gate is a self-declaration, not identity verification. If you believe a child has provided information through this website, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We may update this policy as website features, providers or practices change. The version and date above identify the current policy. For material changes, we will provide additional notice or seek consent where applicable law requires it. Publishing this policy or continuing to browse is not, by itself, consent to optional tracking.
